OpenText Audit Defense is an independent, buyer side advisory practice founded in 2020, with offices in Toronto, London and Frankfurt. We are not affiliated with OpenText Corporation. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it. By using the site or submitting a form, you agree to the handling described here.
We collect only the information you choose to give us. There are two ways to submit information on this site, and both run through our forms provider:
We do not require an account, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information. Please do not include confidential audit records in a form field. If a case requires document exchange, we will agree a secure method with you first.
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to run an engagement if you become a client, and to send The OpenText Audit Brief if you have asked for it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with OpenText, Micro Focus, or any software vendor. We are buyer side only, and protecting the confidentiality of a company under audit is central to how we work.
Form submissions are processed by our forms provider, Formspree, which transmits your message to us. That provider processes the data on our behalf and is bound by its own terms and privacy commitments. The site is served as static pages and loads web fonts from Google Fonts. We keep third party scripts to a minimum.
This site is intentionally light. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build marketing profiles. Any analytics we use are limited to understanding which pages are read so we can improve them, and are handled in a way designed to respect your privacy.
We keep case correspondence for as long as needed to respond and, where you become a client, for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward consistent with professional and legal obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information you have submitted, and you can unsubscribe from The OpenText Audit Brief at any time. Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights under local data protection law, including in the United Kingdom, the European Union and Canada. To exercise any of these, use the form on our contact page and tell us what you would like us to do.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted here.
The only way to contact us is through the form on this site. To ask a privacy question or make a request about your information, please open a case and note that it concerns privacy. You can also review our terms of use.
