Built by people who ran vendor compliance.

The partnership behind OpenText Audit Defense is drawn from former vendor compliance leadership. We describe that experience at the level of the firm, because what matters to a client under audit is the discipline, not a resume.

Why we describe the team at the firm level

A compliance finding is not produced by one person. It is produced by a program: a global software compliance team with executive sponsorship, where Compliance Managers prepare entitlement and support reviews and then run the true up negotiation. To defend against that program you need people who have stood inside one. Our partners come from exactly that background, and we attribute their experience to the firm rather than to named individuals. The credential that protects a client is the collective method, not a personal history at any vendor.

This is a deliberate choice. It keeps the focus where it belongs, on the 200 plus audits the firm has defended and the 68 percent average reduction it has delivered, and it removes any suggestion that we trade on a relationship with OpenText. We do not. We are buyer side only and not affiliated with OpenText Corporation.

What that experience gives a client

Because the firm was assembled by former vendor compliance leadership, nothing in an opening finding is a mystery to us. We know how a self assessment script is scoped and what it tends to overcount. We know how named seat definitions, service accounts, indirect access and non production use are treated in the first draft of a finding, and where each of those is open to challenge. We know how the remedy stacks, with a shortfall deemed acquired at then current list price, plus back maintenance and support, plus first year maintenance on the new licenses, plus the cost of the audit itself. Knowing how the number is assembled is what lets us take it apart.

How the partnership works on an engagement

Every case runs on the four operations set out in our audit defense method. The partners take over first contact within the seven day window, reconstruct your effective license position before any vendor measurement script runs, rebut the finding line by line, and resolve on terms you can live with. Specialist depth across the estate is organised into eight defense tracks, from ECM and Documentum to OpenPass negotiation, so the right experience meets the right metric.

The full discipline, written for buyers, is set out in the complete OpenText audit defense playbook for 2026.

Independent, by design

We hold no reseller status and no partnership with any vendor. The partners work for the company under audit and no one else. If you would like to talk to the team about a notice you have received, you can open a case and we will respond inside the window that matters.
